Privacy Policy

Last updated: 15 October 2026 · The German version is authoritative; this translation is provided for your convenience.

This policy explains which personal data are processed when you visit the website temia.de and use its forms, the forum and the order pages. For our programs see section 12.

1. Controller

Temia Consulting, owner Victoria Romanova
Rosenheimer Str. 83, 81667 Munich, Germany
Postal address: Postfach 830713, 81707 Munich
Email: contact@temia.de · Imprint

For questions about data protection and to exercise your rights, an email to contact@temia.de is sufficient.

2. Hosting and server logs

The website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany (processor). With every request the server processes technically necessary data: IP address, date and time, requested address including its parameters, referrer, status code, amount of data and browser and operating system identifier. The purpose is delivering the pages, security and troubleshooting (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The type and duration of storage of these logs are determined by IONOS.

When the page “Custom software” is opened, and when the home page is opened via a link from one of our programs, the operator is notified by email (IP address, time, program identifier). The purpose is to evaluate how prospective customers reach us (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

3. Consent banner and storage in your browser

On your first visit a banner asks whether you consent to services that are not technically necessary. No such services are loaded before you decide. Your choice is stored only in your browser (local storage, entry temia_consent: categories, time, version) and is not transmitted to us. After 12 months, or when new services are added, we ask again. This storage is strictly necessary to respect your choice (Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG; Art. 6(1)(c) in conjunction with Art. 7(1) GDPR).

Withdrawal: Using the link Cookie settings at the bottom of every page you can change your choice at any time or withdraw consent with effect for the future. When you withdraw, the Google cookies of this website are deleted.

4. Google Ads (marketing, only with consent)

If you consent to the category “Marketing”, we load the Google tag (gtag.js) for Google Ads of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”). We use it for conversion measurement: Google determines whether a visit came from one of our ads and whether, for example, an order or an enquiry was then completed. For this, cookies or similar identifiers are set (e.g. _gcl_au, stored for up to 90 days) and data such as IP address, device and browser information, page visited, time and ad click identifier are transmitted to Google. Google may also use these data for personalised advertising and link them with other data if you are signed in to Google; to that extent Google processes the data under its own responsibility. We only receive aggregated reports that do not identify you.

The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TDDDG). Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA; Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (adequacy decision of the European Commission, Art. 45 GDPR). In addition we use Google's consent mode, which is set to “denied” without your consent. More information: policies.google.com/privacy.

5. Google Analytics (statistics, only with consent)

If the banner offers the category “Statistics” and you consent, we use Google Analytics 4 by Google to understand how visitors use the website (pages viewed, time spent, origin, device type, approximate location). Cookies are set (e.g. _ga, _ga_<id>, stored for up to 2 years) and usage data are transmitted to Google; Google Analytics 4 does not store full IP addresses. Legal basis, third-country transfer and withdrawal as in section 4. If the banner does not offer this category, no statistical analysis takes place.

6. YouTube videos

Some tutorials contain videos from YouTube (Google). The videos are only loaded when you click “Load video”; before that there is no connection to YouTube. After the click the video is embedded in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com); your IP address, browser information and the page visited are transmitted to Google, including to the USA, and when the video is played YouTube stores information in your browser. The legal basis is your consent given by the click (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TDDDG); it applies only to that video and is not stored.

7. Contact form and email

If you write to us via the contact form or by email, we process your details (name, email address, subject, program name, version, operating system, message) to answer your enquiry (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for questions about a contract or purchase, otherwise point (f)). The message is sent by email to support@temia.de (mailbox at IONOS); in some language versions the operator also receives a notification at a mailbox with Google's email service.

Protection against misuse: The German version stores the IP address with the date and number of enquiries in order to prevent more than five enquiries per day (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The French, Spanish and Italian versions use Google reCAPTCHA: when these form pages are opened, IP address, browser and device information and your behaviour on the page are transmitted to Google to detect automated access (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; third country as in section 4).

We delete enquiries once they have been dealt with and are no longer needed for follow-up questions or because of statutory retention obligations.

8. Forum

For registration in the forum we process user name, email address, display name and location and, voluntarily, salutation, first and last name, company, address, telephone and fax, as well as the IP address and time of registration. The email address is verified with a confirmation link. If you select it during registration, we inform you about new forum posts by email; you can unsubscribe at any time by emailing contact@temia.de. Posts are stored with name, email address where applicable (guest posts), time and IP address; uploaded images are stored on our server. Posts are publicly visible after approval. The operator is notified of new posts and uploads by email (Google's email service). For login, the forum stores user name and password in cookies for the duration of the browser session.

Registration in the German forum is protected against automated sign-ups by Cloudflare Turnstile of Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA; IP address and browser information are transmitted to Cloudflare (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; Cloudflare is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework).

The legal basis is the forum's terms of use (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and, for the IP address, our interest in preventing misuse and infringements (point (f)). The data are stored as long as the user account exists; on request we delete the account.

9. Orders, licence keys and downloads

For an order we process the details in the order form (salutation, name, company, address, delivery and billing address, email, telephone, comment, product and price), depending on the payment method your bank details (account holder, IBAN, BIC) for direct debit, and the IP address to protect against misuse. The order is stored in our database and sent to the operator by email (Google's email service). The purpose is performing the purchase contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR); invoices and accounting records are kept for the statutory periods (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR, Section 147 AO, Section 257 HGB: up to 10 years).

PayPal: If you choose PayPal, you are redirected to PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., 22–24 Boulevard Royal, 2449 Luxembourg; product, amount and order number are transmitted. PayPal processes your payment data under its own responsibility (PayPal privacy statement).

Business Portal plans: When a plan is booked we store company, address, contact person, email, telephone, bank details, payment interval, installation key and the IP address and time of conclusion of the contract.

Licence keys and downloads: When a licence key is activated we store the key and email address. When a purchased program is downloaded we check the licence identifier; to protect against misuse the IP address, time and failed attempts are stored and the operator is notified by email (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).

10. Ratings and error reports

If you rate a program or report a translation or program error, we process your details (depending on the form name, salutation, email address, program, version, language, installation key, your answers and texts) as well as the IP address and, where applicable, an approximate location derived from it. Ratings are stored in our database; both are sent to the operator by email (Google's email service). The purpose is improving our programs (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Providing name and email address is voluntary.

11. Recipients and third countries

  • IONOS SE (Germany) – hosting, database, email sending and mailboxes at temia.de; processor.
  • Google (Google Ireland Limited; Google LLC, USA) – Google Ads and Google Analytics only with consent, YouTube after a click, reCAPTCHA (section 7) and email service for the operator's notifications (sections 2, 7–10).
  • Cloudflare, Inc. (USA) – protection of forum registration (section 8).
  • PayPal (Luxembourg) – payment, if chosen (section 9).

Transfers to Google LLC and Cloudflare, Inc. in the USA are covered by the adequacy decision on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Beyond this we do not pass on or sell your data.

12. Our programs

Our programs for Windows, macOS, iPhone and iPad store the data you enter in them on your device or in the database you choose; Temia Consulting has no access to them. Data only reach us if you use a function with an internet connection, for example the voluntary registration of a program (name, address, email address, telephone, request for information), a support or error report via the forms described above, the recipe catalogue of the recipe manager, the check for new versions, the Temia Cloud or purchases (in-app purchases are handled by Apple).

The Temia Business Portal (Windows, macOS, iOS) has its own detailed privacy policy: Privacy policy Temia Business Portal.

13. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20). You may object at any time to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Art. 21 GDPR). You may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR) – on the website via “Cookie settings”, otherwise by email to contact@temia.de.

14. Right to lodge a complaint

You may lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for us is the Bavarian Data Protection Authority (Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht, BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany, www.lda.bayern.de.

15. Obligation to provide data, automated decisions, changes

You do not have to provide any data to visit the website. For enquiries, forum registration and orders we need the details marked as mandatory. We do not carry out automated decision-making or profiling. We update this policy when the website or the processing changes. The German version is authoritative.
